On part of an agricultural meadow near the village of Polling, on the banks of the river Ammer, in the middle of the Pfaffenwinkel, an open columned hall is being built: STOA169. Joana Vasconcelos, in collaboration with 169 artists, designed a column, which together, as an archive of contemporary art, will support the common roof of STOA169. Joana Vasconcelos' Connection is covered with Viúva Lamego's ceramic tiles in seven colours corresponding to the seven chakras - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and white - establishing a dialogue between spirituality and art, nature and man-made elements.
