Foundation awards Tânia da Graça a scholarship

The Joana Vasconcelos Foundation is delighted to announce that Tânia da Graça has been selected as the scholarship recipient for 2024/2025. The visual artist, who is currently completing her degree in Fine Arts and Multimedia at the University of Évora, was chosen by artist Joana Vasconcelos in accordance with the scholarship regulations.  This scholarship, the result of a partnership between the Foundation and the University of Évora, reinforces our commitment to supporting arts education. By supporting a student from the School of Arts, we aim to foster the creation of opportunities in the artistic and cultural fields, encouraging research and experimentation in various artistic techniques and expressions.

Tânia da Graça (b. Évora, 1987) focuses her artistic practice on experimentation and research, with a particular interest in printmaking. This technique allows her to explore connections with other disciplines, such as painting, photography, and collage. In 2008, she attended a portfolio development course at Lewisham Community College in London, an experience that led her to enroll at the University of the Arts London (UAL), where she completed the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design in 2010.
