This 10th of June, «48 artists from different generations will be in the gardens of MAAT — Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology, in Lisbon, between 10:00AM and 10:00PM, painting a panel measuring 24 meters long and 3.5 meters high. at the Central Tejo naphtha deposit. The initiative recreates a historic moment of celebration of freedom, held exactly 48 years ago — the “Painel do Mercado do Povo”, a collective intervention then promoted by the Democratic Movement of Visual Artists to celebrate the end of censorship and dictatorship. The goal, this time, is to celebrate 48 years of democracy in Portugal.»
