Joana Vasconcelos is honoured to be the Guest of Honour at the 70th edition of BRAFA Art Fair, one of Europe’s most prestigious and historic art fairs. Known for its eclectic mix of artworks spanning centuries and disciplines, BRAFA embodies a rich heritage and a commitment to artistic excellence, making it the ideal setting for Vasconcelos' vibrant and thought-provoking creations. For this milestone edition, Joana Vasconcelos will present two sculptures that celebrate the intersection of tradition and innovation. At the heart of the fair, visitors will encounter two monumental Valkyries - Valkyrie Léonie and Valkyrie Seondeok- these works combine her signature use of textiles with cutting-edge techniques, creating a dialogue between artisanship and the contemporary discourse.
